It was a busy few weeks for this mentalist and magician in Vancouver! After doing my first solo public magic show last month, I did my second magic show last night at Tyrant Studios in Vancouver BC. It was a halloween themed mentalism show. I’ve been wanting to put together a Halloween themed magic and mentalism show as I have some great ideas. It took a lot of planning but glad I finally did it. Also just wrapped up a strolling close up magic gig for a corporate event at Vancouver Lawn Teniis and Badminton Club. Last week I had my first solo public show and it had a pretty good turnout. The venue Shamshiri Caveman Restaurant in Chinatown was so accommodating and they support the arts so much. I was their first magic show in Vancouver. I thanked them personally of course and put in a glowing review on Google for them. As a corporate magician and mentalist in Vancouver, it has been a personal goal to do a solo public show for a while. And now I am currently planning a second one. I’ve been wanting to do a mentalism show with a darker theme for Halloween and it will be happening in October at Tyrant Studios. I’ll keep you posted. If you are interested in learning magic and wondering if it is for you, I would recommend learning all types of magic and figuring out which one you love the most and want to focus on. Card magic, coin magic, mentalism, pickpocketing, comedy, rope magic, etc. Some books I have heard that are strongly recommended are The Royal Road to Card Magic and Bobo’s Coin Magic.
